In this case you would want to employ the advice of a mechanic friend before buying a used car online, you could get stuck easily with a lemon.

3. Mega lots online. There are plenty of places to buy a used car online and they don't even have to be in your area. Places such as Car Max have a large inventory and you can find and shop the used cars right from the comfort of your own home.
