DepartmentofLabor
In the United States there are many departments of labor. They have the main
department of labor which is a cabinet of the Unites States
Government and many individual states have their own department
of labors as well. They are responsible for such things as
minimum wage requirements, unemployment benefits, work place
safety standards and unemployment insurance benefits.
Back in 1884 the Unites States Congress started the Bureau
of Labor and was later changed to the department of labor.
