Sometimes, after a hard days work, you come home and all you really want to do is just sit back and relax. Most of us relax much the same way, we grab a snack and hit the sofa and let the warm glow of our TV set wash away all the troubles of the day. We watch our favorite sitcoms and laugh as they solve all of life's problems, 30 minutes at a time. But wouldn't it be better if you were watching those shows on a Big Screen TV instead of your small screen?

The definition of what exactly a big screen TV is can be rather elusive. It used to be that if you owned a 19" RCA that you had a big screen, then the 25" came along. Now you can get flat panel TVs that fit right onto the wall and they average about 50" in size. That is a major step up from the TVs of the last century. I have a 42" screen Plasma Display on the wall in my loft. We sit on the couch and watch it from about 8' away. That would be unheard of 20 years ago.

So when you are looking for a new TV, look at some of the big screen TVs that are available. As far as TVs are concerned it's always the bigger the better. And everything looks a little nicer on the big screen, especially when you are trying to drown out the world around you.
